"It was a good visit," Gilchrist said when asked about his time with the Husky coaches. "We got to see the dorms and the campus (while riding around) in golf carts around UW. It was also cool to meet with the coaches and Taylor (Rapp) also committed and that was pretty awesome to see."
Gilchrist also got to spend some time with Husky secondary coach Jimmy Lake.
"I got some good one-on-one time with him," Gilchrist noted. "He just felt like I would be a perfect fit with the UW style of play and would fit perfectly into their system."
Gilchrist currently holds offers from four schools - Washington, Washington State, USC and California - and he's been hearing from quite a few other programs, almost all of them from the Pac 12.
With that in mind, Gilchrist updated us on where things stand for him on the recruiting front as he plans to take visits to several schools this spring.
"I'm planning to visit USC, UCLA, Cal, Arizona State and maybe Arizona," Gilchrist added.
Gilchrist does not have a timeline for when he'd like to make a decision, but does not plan to wait until Signing Day next February.
