One of the rising stars among wideouts in the 2016 class is Chaminade Prep (West Hills, Ca.) WR Dymond Lee who recently hauled in his 10th offer when Nebraska offered.
Washington got into the picture a couple of weeks ago and they have made a solid impression on the dynamic wideout.
"(Brent Pease and I) talked over the phone and he wants me to come to the spring preview," Lee told Dawgman.com. "I doubt I'll be able to make it though because my high school has a passing tournament that day.
"I plan on visiting them at least once to see what they are really about."
Helping the Huskies' case is the fact that he knows a couple of players on the team.
"There's a couple of guys from my school (Jojo McIntosh) up there and they say that they love it, so I know it must be an impressive program," Lee said.
Lee said he hopes to visit every school that has offered him before he starts to narrow things down.
"I already visited UCLA and my plan is to visit every school that's offered so far," Lee noted. "It's only about finding the time to do so right now.
"I don't have a set date (to make a decision). I'm a christian and I believe if God wants me at a particular school then he will let me know at the appointed time. Until then I'm just gathering as much information about these schools as I can."
When it comes to making his decision, Lee has some criteria in mind as far as what he's looking for in the school he chooses.
"Are the coaches people I can trust as if they were my dad? Does the school offer a comfortable and supportive environment for me to learn?," Lee said. "Is the school a place that is going to facilitate my walk with God? Can I make as big of an impact at the school as they can for me?"
As a junior last season, Lee grabbed 33 receptions for 616 yards and two scores.
"I'm not a burner but I have speed to get down field and if the ball comes my way, I'll get physical and attack it," Lee noted.
We will continue to keep tabs on Lee and update news on him as he progresses through the recruiting process.
