The 2017 in-state offensive line class may already be the best offensive line class of all-time, but it just got a little bit better this past weekend when Richland’s Dontae Powell showed up to the Northwest Elite Football Camp. The 6-foot-6, 300-pound Powell was arguably the top offensive lineman at Lynnwood High School.
“I heard a lot of good things about this camp and I wanted to experience it for myself,” the rising junior from the Tri-Cities told Dawgman.com. “It was really good. To get in that final group was a great feeling, competing. There was some great competition out here.”
Powell plays left tackle and defensive tackle for the Bombers. Washington State offered Powell two months ago and Boise State has started to contact him. He will join his Richland teammates for their team camp in Boise and then he will go to Washington’s Rising Stars camp on June 20th. He’s also going to a top-100 underclass camp in Los Angeles.
The Tri-Cities native said he didn’t have a favorite college growing up.
