And with that, Harris' commitment to the Huskies was secured with a trademark 'WOOF!!' tweet from Petersen.
"Yes sir, I just did," was the answer when we asked Harris if he had indeed made his decision. "I visited last weekend and I loved it there. From the coaches, to the program, to the school, to the setting, I fell in love with that place.
"I called coach (Chris) Strausser and he was fired up and glad to have me and Luke (Wattenburg) both coming up there to play for him. He likes me attitude and how I play the game."
Like a lot of targets, Husky head coach Chris Petersen's 'Built For Life' message really resonated with Harris.
"It's about so much more than football for him," Harris said. "Don't get me wrong, he wants to win and he loves to compete, but he's very interested in helping you grow as a man as well as a player, so it's the whole package with him and with the program there."
Harris' offer list was pretty bare heading into the summer with full rides just from New Hampshire and Cal Poly, but when Washington missed out on Kaiser (Honolulu, Hi.) OL Michael Eletise, they quickly extended an offer Harris' way.
"I played right tackle last season, but this year I'm moving inside to center and that's where I'll play when I get (to Washington)," Harris said. "Luke was fired up knowing that we'd be playing together for at least another four or five years after we finish up this season and I also know Dante Pettis who will be a sophomore up there this year.
"When we visited last weekend, I got to talk to Dante for about 30 minutes and he just talked about how great it is there and what it means to be a Husky and that he loves it there."
Love came up to see Washington with his father, so when he takes his official visit his mother will definitely be in attendances.
"She can't wait to get up there," Harris said. "My parents were both really excited for me and proud of me. That was really the cool part about getting the offer and becoming a Dawg.
"When I take my official visit up there, I'll have my mom and my dad with me and probably my sisters as well. I want them all to see why I fell in love with that place because I know they will see what I saw."
