DB Eric Frampton Update

Eric Frampton plays for Oak Grove High School in San Jose, California. At 6-1 190 pounds, Frampton has the size and speed (runs a 4.5 40) that defensive back coaches love.

Frampton has been busy this summer. "I've been on a weightlifting program and I've been running hills to get ready for this season. I went to school this summer as well which didn't let me attend too many football camps," said Frampton.

In a game against Bellarmine last weekend Frampton was just short of 100 yards and scored two touchdowns. He also defended several passes from his cornerback position.

The big corner from Oak Grove is receiving a lot of attention from recruiters. "Our phone has been ringing quite a bit. UCLA was first, they called about 8:00 the first morning you could call. I also heard from Cal, Oregon, Arizona, WSU, and a couple of others," said Frampton.

"I knew those calls were coming. I enjoy talking with them."

For Washington, defensive coordinator Tim Hundley is recruiting Frampton as a defensive back.

Frampton has not set up any visits yet, but it won't be long now. "Some schools want to get me there for some visits and watch their games," said Frampton.

"I want to visit the University of Washington, Oregon, UCLA, and USC. Those are the four I want to look at right now."

Frampton was recently nominated and inducted into the ‘Who's Who of American High School Students.'

When asked for a favorite, he listed Washington first and then mentioned Oregon and UCLA. The early lead on this Bay Area star may go to the Huskies.
