POST-GAME VIEDO: Washington MIK Linebacker Azeem Victor talks about Washington's 31-17 win over Utah State

Azeem Victor, the sophomore linebacker from Compton, Calif, tallied 12 tackles, including a tackle for loss, as the Huskies shut down the Utah State Aggies 31-17 Saturday at Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium. He talked about his day, as well as that of the defense.

On what about his game allows him to make plays all over the field “To be honest with you it’s my d-line. It’s the d-line. Whatever they’re doing up front it’s working. We’re all working together. It’s not just me; it’s everybody. They’re able to let me make plays and that’s a good thing.”

On if the production of the defense so far speaks to the doubters after how much the defense lost last year “We really didn’t focus on that. We just focus on each other as a group and as a whole and as brothers. The whole camp we fed off each other. We taught ourselves that. No matter what other people say we’re going to be alright.”

On his thoughts on the way Chuckie Keeton battled “Chuckie Keeton, he’s tough. We were definitely getting at him and you’ve got to respect him for that. He’s a good quarterback.”

On Keishawn Bierria's performance “Oh yeah. It’s only the beginning.” Top Stories
