POST-GAME VIDEO: Washington Cornerback Kevin King talks to the press after his third pick in three games helped UW defeat Utah State 31-17

Kevin King, the junior cornerback from San Leandro, Calif., talked to the press about his interception, his third in as many games, as the Washington Huskies defeated Utah State 31-17 Saturday at Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium.

On how he’s been able to intercept three passes in three games “Just been in the right spot at the right time. I’ve been blessed with these opportunities. I’m just glad that I’ve been able to cash-in on them. I just read my keys. When I see the ball, I just go get it. It’s mine out there just as much as it is the receiver’s.”

On visualizing plays before making them “Along with the preparation in practice all week, we scout those guys, we run their plays, so we have a pretty good idea of what’s coming. But, my mental preparation, when I’m asleep and I’m laying down in my bed, it’ll be pitch black and midnight and I’ll just be sitting there running plays through, just visualizing myself, not just having a guy catch it and tackle him, but making interceptions. Maybe next time I can work on my return skills. There are too many picks with me just getting tackled. That’s the next step. In everything, there’s always something to improve on. We’ll watch the film and get ready.”
