"My trip was incredible," Patrick Brown told Dawgman.com recently. "I absolutely loved Washington. The stadium and all its facilities blew me away and the city of Seattle was amazing by itself.
"I had never been to a college game before yesterday, so going on the field (before the game) was unreal."
The Huskies have yet to offer the talented tight end prospect, but he did receive an offer from a Mountain West program recently.
"I just got my first offer from San Diego State last week, so that's it for offers, but I have been talking to Washington, Indiana and Boise State as well," Brown noted.
In today's prep offenses, most tight ends spend their time catching passes much more than they do as blockers, however, Brown is a throwback and he takes pride in what he can do along the offensive line.
"I'm an all-around tight end, but blocking is definitely one of my strengths," Brown said. "I love being aggressive and doing what I can to help my team be successful.
"I get split out sometimes, but I spend a lot of time on the end of the line as a blocker and we like to run it so I have to be good in that aspect."
Brown is still very early in the recruiting process, so he'll take his time and wait to see what else comes in and most scouts feel he will have several more offers after teams get a look at what he can do following his junior season this fall.
Brown and the rest of his teammates will take on Eastlake (Chula Vista, Ca.) this Friday.
