TB/S Chuckie Linman Update

Edison High School's Chuckie Linman is one of the better defensive back prospects on the west coast. At 6-0 195 pounds, Linman hits like a linebacker and his 350 bench press lets you know in a hurry that he can bring the hurt.

Linman stars at both tailback and strong safety for Edison. "I am equal in them but I prefer strong safety. I love defense, and I love to hit. I'm very physical and I'm fast. I'm pretty dominant on the field," said Linman.

This is a young man that knows his way around a defensive backfield. Linman had 126 tackles last season with four interceptions, one of them a memorable 62-yard touchdown.

"I was playing kind of a linebacker spot and I read the play. When the quarterback tried to flare it out to the running back, I broke in front of him and that was it. 62-yards to the endzone," recalls Linman.

The Sunset League named him first team all-league at safety.

In the first week of September the two schools that are calling are Fresno State and Washington. Husky Coach Brent Myers is recruiting Chuckie. "He told me to keep my grades up and to keep in touch."

Linman has no offers yet and has not set up any visits. "I will visit Fresno State for sure. I haven't made any other decisions at this time."
