VIDEO: Washington BUCK Travis Feeney - USC

Washington BUCK Travis Feeney talked to the media post-game Thursday night after the Washington Huskies upset the No. 17 USC Trojans 17-12 at the Los Angeles Coliseum.

On the win “It was great man. I’m smiling and crying. It’s something I’ve been wanting. It’s just great to get a win against a ranked team.”

On how the defense was able to pressure Cody Kessler so well “A lot of film work and guys getting on the bye week and during the week of the game working hard and giving 100% in practice the whole time, just working like no other.”

On the late hits on Kessler “We have to learn a little bit to get off the quarterback. I think it was from the injury. I think when he got hit earlier it kind of questioned it and they tried to protect the quarterback; they always have to protect the quarterback. We still won the game. WE just have to fix those errors and we’ll fix those mistakes. We’ll come back in meetings and fix that up.”

On what it means to beat USC being from California “Born and raised a Cali guy. This is huge. Huge. I’ve only dreamt as a little kid. Coming first as a Cal fan I always wanted to play USC never thinking it would happen. Finally getting a chance to play them and just getting a win is remarkable.”

On if the Coliseum measured up to expectations “Definitely. It was everything I thought it was going to be and more. I knew the excitement and I knew my adrenaline and my team’s adrenaline and how everyone else was going to be. Everything I dreamed that it was the night before, it matched it.” Top Stories
