VIDEO: Washington Defensive Tackle Taniela Tupou - Stanford Cardinal

Washington Defensive Tackle Tani Tupou gave his takeaways from Washington's 26-20 loss to Oregon, as well as what the defense expects from Stanford as the Huskies travel to Palo Alto to face the Cardinal Saturday night.

On positive takeaways from the defensive performance against Oregon “Yeah. It feels pretty for our defense to come out and perform the way that we did, especially holding such a high-powered offense to so little points. At the end of the day we still feel bad because we lost. Coming off the field we cant really have our heads down low, because I feel as a defense we played to the best of our ability. I feel like our whole defense played really well. We tackled really well. A running back like Royce Freeman that’s averaging like 200 yards a game, we only gave up 100-something. At the end of the day, I think as a defense we feel confident.”

On how to stop Christian McCaffrey and the Stanford offense “Tackle, get him on the ground, and just play hard. That’s our thing at the end of the day; just play hard and play detailed and we’ll be alright.” Top Stories
