VIDEO: Washington Tight End Josh Perkins Post-Game - Utah Utes spoke post-game with Washington tight end Josh Perkins, who had 1 catch for 53 yards Saturday night in the Huskies' 34-23 loss to Utah, and was also involved with a few 'interesting' plays that caught the Pac-12 officials' interest - and not in a good way.

On the offensive performance “I think we had a pretty good offensive game, just turnovers. With weather like that, the ball tends to get a little slippery. I don’t know, we just have to do a better job of hanging on to the ball.”

On the pass interference call “I don’t know. I didn’t think I P.I. (pass interference). But I’m not the ref, so he saw what he saw. We can’t really do anything about it.”

On if the official explained the call to him “They didn’t tell me anything, just said I pushed off. I don’t think I did, but, like I said, I’m not the ref. It’s a tough call but we have to live with it.”

On how frustrating it is to have big plays called back because of penalties “It was really tough. Any time you get touchdowns called back it’s really hard for the team to come back from. We just have to get better and learn from our mistakes.”

On if he thinks he scored on his 53-yard reception “I do think I got into the end zone. I don’t know. I guess there’s a rule where if I don’t dive I can’t reach out with the ball. I don’t know. I thought I got in.”

On his 53-yard reception “I don’t know. I was running and I saw the pylon right here. I had the ball in my left hand and I just reached over the pylon so I thought I was in but I guess I wasn’t.” Top Stories
