VIDEO: Washington Receiver Dante Pettis Post-Game - Utah Utes

Dawgman.com spoke post-game with Washington sophomore receiver Dante Pettis, who had a game-high six catches for 60 yards as the Huskies lost to Utah 34-23 Saturday night at Husky Stadium.

On the game plan “Pretty much the same thing every week, just move the ball. There’s nothing special I feel like that we put in; I think it’s the same thing, like I said, every week. We just didn’t execute as well as we wanted to.”

On if this week had more trick plays than normal “No, I mean we always have a lot of trick plays and stuff in the game plan, it’ just a matter of when we call them or not. Sometimes it’s not the right time to call them.”

On why he thinks the first touchdown to Jaydon Mickens was called back “Honestly, I didn’t see it so I’m not sure. I don’t know what the called. From what Brayden (Lenius) told me, he said it was just a clean play like how he practiced.”

On what typically is supposed to happen on that play “He just goes and sits kind of on the outside shoulder of the linebacker. I guess they said he was trying to block him or something. I don’t know. I’d have to see it on film.”

On how much of a killer the turnovers were “Turnovers are a killer any time. You can get lucky and win a game when you turnover the ball how many times we had today. You can get lucky and win a game like, but most of the time it’s not going to turn out good.”
