"I'm still 100% committed to Washington," Kentrell Love told Dawgman.com Sunday evening. "(USC) had been talking to me since the summer and coach (Keith) Heyward had said he liked me, but wanted to see my senior season before they offered.
"Now that we're in the playoffs, he called and he said he'd seen enough and wanted to offer me. He said he really liked my physical style of play.
"I was flattered, but like I said, I'm 100% committed to Washington. I'm a Dawg."
Just to make sure things were still solid with the talented corner from one of the top prep programs in the country, Washington running backs coach Keith Bhonapha checked in shortly after the Trojans offered.
"He was just making sure I was still good and I told him I was," Love said. "I'm really looking forward to getting up to Seattle for my visit, but it probably won't be until January since we are in the playoffs now and I just need to make sure my season is over before I can really focus on setting up my visit."
So far this season, Love has locked down his side of the field and he's seen very few passes thrown his way, but he's still managed to post 36 tackles three interceptions and three pass breakups.
Love and his teammates will face off against Orange Lutheran on Friday night in the second round of the state playoffs.
