VIDEO: Washington Defensive Back Budda Baker Saturday Briefing's Luke Mounger spoke Saturday with Washington Defensive Back Budda Baker after the Huskies resumed their bowl practice schedule with a busy workout inside the Dempsey Indoor.

On being named first team all-conference “It’s really nice and humbling that they gave me that award. I didn’t really play for three games due to injury and I’m just glad that I got that.”

On the significance the additional practices for a bowl game mean for the team “It means a lot. It’s that much more we can work on and all be with the coaches and be the whole team together. Next year comes on we’ll be better than this year.”

On Southern Mississippi's offense “They’re a great team. We’re just really excited to play. We haven’t really as a team been watching too much film right now. It’s just about us right now. As the week comes on we’ll start game planning on what they do.”

On if this win carries momentum to next season “We don’t really think about that. Those games are done with and now we’ve got one more game and we’re trying to end out with a ‘W’ and lead the seniors out with a ‘W’ instead of a loss.” Top Stories
