VIDEO: Washington Running Back Myles Gaskin Sunday Briefing

Dawgman.com spoke Sunday with Washington Running Back Myles Gaskin after the Huskies put in their third day of practices leading up to the Zaxby's Heart of Dallas Bowl, to be played Saturday, December 26th at the Cotton Bowl.

On getting more and more carries as the season went along: "It's a great feeling when the OC can trust you with the ball, giving you the ball that many times (32 carries in the Apple Cup), every running back wants the ball in their hands and I really appreciate him giving me that responsibility."

On the start to his freshman season: "The first half of the season, was really just feeling it out. It was a new thing every week. All of the different teams. You're looking at this team on the film and you're like 'they're big' or 'they're fast', from high school, when you see something like that you're like I can handle that, but it's just an adjustment."

On the bowl schedule: "Yeah, it's very weird actually, but just something new and getting used to it. We've got this week off getting ready for finals, so we have to lock it in and coach says 'finish strong' in school right now and then get back to Friday and get ready for the game."

On relying on the older guys: "Absolutely. They know what they're doing. They can walk you through it. They can tell you what's going to happen, Tell you what we're going to do in the bowl, even the bowl gifts, yeah, the older guys have some wisdom."
