"I've talked to coach (Chris) Petersen and coach (Chris) Strausser a few times and I'm planning to go up there at some point soon, but I haven't figured out when that is going to be yet," Johnson told Dawgman.com.
In addition to his offer from the Huskies, Johnson also holds offers from the likes of Arizona State, Cal, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon, UCLA and USC among others.
"I'm visiting Cal this weekend and I'm looking at visits to Washington, Utah, USC and UCLA right now, but like I said, I'm still sorting that out with my parents," Johnson noted.
One of the biggest things drawing the attention of coaches is Johnson's ability to get after the quarterback and generally spend most of the game in the opponents' backfield as he totaled 14.5 sacks and 33 tackles-for-loss while racking up 87 tackles on the season as a junior last fall.
"I do a lot of things pretty well, but I'm probably at my best causing turnovers and getting after the quarterback," Johnson said. "I have long arms and I'm pretty tall, but I have a quick first step and I never stop pursuing the ball."
Johnson hopes to attend at least one Nike camps this spring and he's looking at some other camps, but he's unsure of which ones he will attend.
We'll have more on Johnson in the coming weeks and months as he gets deeper into the recruiting process.null
