On the PAC-12 tournament: No pressure at all. We’re ready. We found out we play Stanford first game. We take every game serious and focus on one team. We aren’t looking forward because if we lose we’re done. We’re looking forward to play
VIDEO: Dejounte Murray Monday Briefing
On going to Vegas Ready to get down there.
On All-Pac-12 Second Team Honors Definitely a blessing, hard work paid off. Honored to be one of them to be noticed. Motivation to keep working hard.
Did you watch the tourney in the past? Yeah. Two years ago went down there with family and watched the whole thing. Knew I wanted to play in Pac-12 regardless. Loved the atmosphere. High intensity. Every team trying to bring it every game. Crazy to see that I’m going to be playing instead of being in the stands.
On getting prepared for Stanford’s zone: I’m pretty sure they’re going to play zone. We’re going to practice against that as much as we can. We’re going to practice for it and be ready.
On the potential to play four games in four days: I was actually telling my teammates its AAU all over again. You have to win to keep moving forward. We’re going to try to win and advance day by day and see where it goes from there.
On recapping the first meeting with Stanford: I’m going to watch film of that game. I’m going to watch to see what we did well and didn’t do well. I’m just sticking to my play, doing what I do and trying to help this team.
On not playing a game this weekend: I feel like we’re fine. We had practices so we got together as a group and learned more and went through whatever. We’ll be fresh when we play Wednesday. It doesn't matter if we played this weekend or not, we would be fresh and ready either way.
Did you watch film of the WSU game and what are your thoughts on Andrew Andrwes’ 47-point effort: I didn’t get a chance to watch it. Somebody put a highlight video out with his tribute and the whole game and it was unbelievable and I was blessed to be a part of it.
On feeding Andrew Andrews during his performance: I’m a fan of the game and a fan of his, it was just crazy he couldn’t miss. It was his last game so we wanted to get him the ball and that’s what we did and he had a great senior night.
On how far the Huskies need to go to make the NCAA tournament: We don’t talk ahead of time because if we talk about it and don’t do it that does make sense. We’re focusing on Stanford and taking it one game at a time.
On the PAC-12 tournament draw: A lot of people asked me that. With Oregon and Arizona on the same side of the draw, I mean, it’s just another team. We’re looking for revenge if we play one of those teams, but we take it one game at a time.
Any similarities between the PAC-12 tournament and AAU tournaments with playing multiple days in a row? I wouldn't see AAU mode because then you just go out and play. Every possession in this game counts. I’m going to go out and play my game Wednesday and if we win I’ll take care of my body and get ready for the next game.
