VIDEO: Tevis Bartlett on Spring Ball Day Two's Luke Mounger spoke Wednesday with true sophomore outside linebacker Tevis Bartlett after Washington's second day of spring football, held on the east field next to Husky Stadium.

On how his first spring ball has been so far “It’s been a lot better than fall camp, that’s for sure. I’m a lot more comfortable in the system. I feel bigger and stronger, which definitely helps taking on those big linemen. It’s been good so far.”

What did you learn from guys like Travis Feeney and Cory Littleton? “Just pretty much everything I know. They’re great mentors, you know, great players. Sitting behind them all year last year, definitely learned a lot and can take away a lot from their game.”

On stepping up to fill a bigger role “Definitely. We have a ton of good players, a bunch of young guys coming in too. I think we definitely have the opportunity to go in their and play. But we also have to keep getting better everyday.”

Is it difficult to have the same under dog mentality as last year after having the top scoring defense in the conference? “I don’t think so. Even though we had a great defense last year, we still finished 7-6. There’s definitely room for improvement. And that’s what we’re doing out here everyday, just getting better.” Top Stories
