VIDEO: Budda Baker on Spring Ball Day 15

Dawgman.com spoke with junior defensive back Budda Baker after the UW Spring Event Saturday at Husky Stadium.

On being in front of the fans today: “It was cool. All these little kids were saying my name and stuff, so it was cool.”

On losing players like Travis Feeney and Cory Littleton and how that affects the defense: “I feel like we’re pretty close. We’re just taking it step by step. We just finished spring ball, now it’s about getting back into the weight room and then fall camp, so, I believe by game time we’ll be alright.”

On losing the leadership and replacing it: “From my freshman year when people like Marcus (Peters), Danny (Shelton) and Shaq (Thompson) and Hauoli (Kikaha), all of those type of guys left, so I feel like we just take more steps and we have another year with coach Pete under out belts now.”

On Jaylen Johnson: “Jaylen’s a heck of a player. The whole D-Line was in the backfield, white and purple, I feel like it was good for all of them. Jaylen’s doing a good job, going step by step like all of them.”
