"I'm coming up there on the 5th (of May) and I'll be there for three days," McKinney told Dawgman.com. "I've already been up there for a game (when Washington played Utah in November) and that was great to see the gameday atmosphere and see the setting there, but this time I want to get a chance to really sit down with the coaches and to tour the facilities and meet with the academic people up there.
"I have a really great relationship with the coaches and I feel like the program is on the rise so I really want to check things out there and see how I would fit in if I chose to go there."
In addition to his offer from the Huskies, McKinney also has offers from Arizona State, Boston College, Cal, Colorado, UCLA, USC, Utah and San Diego State.
"I'm waiting on Michigan and Notre Dame right now," McKinney noted. "I visited those schools during the spring and I've also visited USC and UCLA because they are so close.
"Utah is another school that I'm looking to visit, but I haven't set that up yet."
As far as a timeline for a decision, McKinney is non-committal although he does know some of the things he'll be looking for when he's ready to commit to a school.
"I honestly haven't really thought about when I will decide," McKinney said. "I don't want to drag it out or anything, but I'm not going to rush into anything.
"When I'm ready to commit, I'll call the coaches and commit and then I'll be done.
"As far as what I'm looking for, I want to find a place that had a good community around it. The fan support, but also the area around the school. I want to have fun when I'm there, so I want some stuff to do outside of school and football.
"I want to see the vibe I get from the coaches and the players and the atmosphere there.
"The last thing is the Business program. I want my degree to mean something after I finish up with school, so the Business program has to be good too."
As a junior last season, McKinney led the Lancers with 114 tackles and also had an interception and four pass breakups.
