A look at the top 25 prospects in the state of Washington

As we continue our look at the top 25 2017 in-state players, today we take a look at Sumner (Wa.) ATH Connor Wedington, a Husky pledge, who looks like he could fit into many roles once he arrives at Montlake...

Scouting Report: Wedington is a two-way star at Sumner, carrying the load offensively from his tailback position while also locking down his side of the field as a corner on defense. He has very good size and great football instincts. His speed has improved over the last year, clocking a personal best 10.94 in the 100 this spring, and he loves to compete. He could wind up being successful on either side of the ball, but most scouts think he's a better fit on defense possessing the ability to be an All-Conference type player on that side of the ball. Either way, Wedington is a leader both on the field and off of it and he'll be a great locker room presence no matter where he ends up.

Top Schools: While Wedington has already committed to the Huskies, he has offers from ArizonaUtah and Washington State among others and he's still had several other programs inquire about his commitment status. For the record, he has not wavered and has been recruiting for Washington.
