A look at the top 25 prospects in the state of Washington

We continue our countdown of the top 25 in-state prospects in the 2017 recruiting class by looking at Juanita (Kirkland, Wa.) ATH Salvon Ahmed, one of the top "skill" players in the West who could fill multiple roles once he gets to college...

Scouting Report: When you watch Ahmed play, it's hard to pigeon hole him as a prospect. He has the size to fit at tailback as well as safety, he's got the speed and hands to play receiver or corner and he's been working all offseason at both positions at camps and with his 7-on-7 team. Ahmed isn't the fastest guy as far as track times are concerned, but when he steps on the field, he rarely gets caught from behind and he has great vision and the ability to make guys miss in space. We've been saying for a while we think that Ahmed could wind up as an All-Conference defensive back, but it appears that most schools want him on the offensive side of the ball.

Top Schools: Ahmed has received offers from most of the Pac 12 and he's also hauled in an offer from Notre Dame as well. He's visited quite a few of his favorites, but most think that StanfordOregonWashington and USC will wind up as his top schools when he narrows things down. As far as when he'll be ready to make his decision, Ahmed said he hopes to take some official visits and then commit to a school shortly after his senior season has been completed.
