Scouting Report: It is rare for a young man the size of Sarell (6'6", 300) to move like he does. His footwork, while not flawless, is elite and he rarely gets beat on speed rushes and at the prep level, no one overpowers him. He's a natural fit at left tackle, but he has the nastiness and smarts to play almost anywhere along the offensive line. There have been some very good offensive line prospects to come out of the state of Washington in recent years, including recent Outland Trophy winner Joshua Garnett (Puyallup), but Sarell should wind up being the best of the bunch before he heads to the NFL.
Top Schools: Obviously, Sarell is a rare athlete and his ceiling is nearly unlimited and he's got plenty of offers to back up his lofty status. Washington and Stanford appear to be the top two schools on Sarell's list, but he's made no bones about the fact that schools like Alabama, Notre Dame, Michigan and Oklahoma are very intriguing to him. Sarell hasn't set an official timeline for a decision, but he has said he hopes to take all of his official visits and that he's in no rush to commit to a school.
