When contacted by Dawgman.com to confirm or deny reports that Brandon Roy had taken the job at Nathan Hale, Roy said 'Yup, it's true'.

Roy, a fixture in the Seattle hoops scene originally from Garfield High School, is one of only two Huskies to have ever had their jerseys retired - the other being Bob Houbregs. He was also Washington's selection to the 2014 Pac-12 Hall of Honor.

Rumors have circulated that the sons of new Washington assistant coach Michael Porter, Sr., including 2017 top target Michael, Jr. and 2018 Washington commit Jontay, will enroll his sons at Hale starting in the fall, but there has been no confirmation of any moves by the family at this time.

UPDATED: Jontay Porter has tweeted that he will be going to Nathan Hale with his older brother Michael, Jr.
