On Rutgers “It’s going to be a good game. We’re going to get their best shot. I wouldn’t want it any other way.”

How fired up are you for this game? “Extremely. I’m ready to get out there. I wish Saturday was today. I can’t wait to get out there.”

Can you believe it’s your senior year? “It’s crazy. Everyone always says how cliché it is that time flies by pretty quick, but that’s really so true. But I can see myself evolving as a player and as a man, so I’ve had a good journey and I’ve enjoyed it.”

How has the secondary come along? “I feel like everybody is coming along great. That’s something that I didn’t have when I was younger; we didn’t really have that depth. I think those guys are learning. They’re learning real well. They’re improving constantly. Austin (Joyner) came in, Jordan (Miller), those guys like that, and even the true freshman now, Byron (Murphy) and Myles (Bryant), Kentrell Love, (Isaiah) Gilchrist), everybody’s coming in and their learning. They’re always asking questions, writing down, Taylor Rapp. Everybody is feeding for that knowledge, which I love. I love it.”

Is it weird preparing for an offense with a new coordinator and new coach? “I wouldn’t say weird. Everybody is going to have a little new, different wrinkled in there, especially it being the first game of the season. We can’t rely on last year’s film or Houston film or Ohio State film. We just have to go out there and play how we know we can play. We have some guys out there who can get it done, no matter who we’re playing against. I’m excited.”
