How much can you take away from blowout games? “You can take a lot. We preach on practice every game like it’s your last game, no matter who your opponent is. It’s about us, that’s what we try to work on.”

How much have you improved as a secondary since the offseason? “I feel like we have a lot of live reps against other teams and other players. We’ve always been going against our team, so it’s good to go against somebody else.”

On his offensive plan “A little bit. They’re trying to get my ways, not just to get me the ball, but just to be on the offensive side. We’ll see how it all goes.”

How much do you pride yourself in open field tackling? “I pride myself a lot. Coach Petersen talks about how that’s one of the biggest plays. It’s you and another guy and you have to tackle him. I pride myself a big amount.”

On Portland State ‘They’re a great offense. They put points on the board. They have a nice quarterback. He can throw, he can run. They have really good wide receivers, big running backs. We’re approaching this game like it’s our last game.”
