How important is it to get experience against different defenses and different blitz packages early in the season? “Every team has their blitzes, every team has their schemes. It’s just a matter of watching their film and studying them up. You’re not going to play a team that with four-man rush every time. You’re going to get some stuff, so you have to know your stuff. That’s what’s fun about football. Studying and going against new guys. Portland State is going to be a good challenge for us.”

On Portland State “They are similar to Rutgers. They’re big, physical guys. They’re not - like everyone thinks ’Portland State, small school, whatever.’ But they’re a good team and it’s going to be a good game. I’m just excited to play. They bring a lot of pressure and they have a lot of blitzes and stuff but if we lock down we should be okay."
