"It was a really good visit," Umana told Dawgman.com. "They really showed me a great time.
"The guy who hosted me was Benning Potoa'e and he was a really good guy. He is a local kid, so he was able to talk about the school and the program from his perspective and why he chose to go there. I mostly just hung out with him and some of the other guys and I felt really comfortable there."
One of the highlights for Umana was getting to arrive at the stadium via boat.
"We got to go on a boat to the stadium and that was really pretty cool," Umana noted. "It's beautiful up there and I loved the surrounding area and the city.
"As far as the program and the offensive line, I really respect coach (Chris) Strausser. He was actually down here recently to watch my game and he and I have formed a pretty good relationship so far.
"I watched the way they play and the calls they make and feel like, if I chose to go there, that I would fit into their scheme and depth chart pretty well."
So far, Washington is the only school to get a visit from Umana, but that will change come December.
"I'm visiting Utah on December 10th and I'll visit Arizona on December 2nd," Umana said. "I'd definitely like to take some other visits. UCLA just offered me and they are really working on me hard to get down for a visit and California and Washington State are also working on me to visit.
"If I wait until Signing Day, I'll visit those schools, but if not, I might decide in December. I haven't really thought that far ahead yet, but I definitely want to take some other visits before I decide anything."
Grant, now 6-1 on the season, will take on Husky commit Alex Cook and his Sheldon teammates in a cross-town rivalry showdown this Friday.
We'll continue to keep tabs on Umana in the coming weeks and we will update news on him as it happens.
