VIDEO: Brandon Beaver Media Briefing

Washington Senior Defensive Back Brandon Beaver spoke Tuesday to the media ahead of the No. 7 Huskies' last home game of the season against Arizona State, his final home game as a Husky.

On his final home game as a Husky coming up “It’s going to be a lot of emotions. It’s been a long time coming. I have to be able to take it all in. I have to try to keep my emotions inside of me and stuff like that. I know I’ll be feeling a type of way my last game at Husky Stadium, so I’ll just try to take it all in.”

What was the loss like? “I think it was kind of - like you said we still have things that we can still make it special. I think just learning from that one and moving forward. We don’t want to feel that feeling again, so we’re just going to grind, make sure we finish this thing off the right way.”

Is it harder keeping it one week at a time coming off a loss? “No. It’s still the same. If anything it makes it more closer because we have a lot of nay-sayers and stuff like that, a lot of doubters. If anything, we don’t pay to the noise. We just stay one and stay closer and make us a better team at the end of the day.”

What do you see against Arizona State? “Arizona State is a good team. They have a lot skill, they have a pretty good line. They have some young guys out there making plays at receiver and running back and stuff. We have to just watch a lot of film, just grind, and hopefully pull out a win again.”

What are your goals to end your senior season? “Myself, just to get better everyday, take advantage of my opportunities. And as far as the team I just want to win out and hopefully make it a special season like we plan on making it.” Top Stories
