What does it mean to win the Apple Cup? “It means a lot. We set goals at the beginning of the season and this was the team, the final team standing in our way of the goals that we set as a team. So it feels really good to come out and execute and come away with a win.”

On starting fast “It was really important. There are times lately where we’ve been starting off slow and to really come out and execute the way that we did and really just bring the energy that we’ve had all season makes a difference and it means a lot.”

On the 98-yard touchdown drive “It felt good. It felt good to see those guys execute with precise decisions. See Jake (Browning) handle his business, see the receivers, the perimeter guys, do what they needed to do. See the o-line handle their business up front. It felt good to get down there.”

What was the game plan against their defense? “Every game is really physicality and running the ball. That’s kind of what we pride ourselves in. The o-line, those guys, every time we break the huddle it’s technique and physicality. You believe in those guys up front and you just can’t help but want to play for them.”
