Record number of Huskies invited to combine

A record number of Washington Huskies - seven - were invited to the 2017 NFL Combine, set to be held February 28 through March 6 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Budda Baker, Darrell Daniels, Sidney Jones, Kevin King, Joe Mathis, Elijah Qualls, and John Ross III have all been invited.

Last year, Travis Feeney and Cory Littleton were invited. Feeney was drafted in the sixth round by Pittsburgh. Littleton was picked up by the Los Angeles Rams as a free agent.

In 2015, Hauoli Kikaha, Marcus Peters, Danny Shelton, and Shaq Thompson were invited to the combine. All were drafted within the first 45 picks of the 2015 draft.

Seven players is the most ever for the Huskies. There were five UW players invited after the 2000 Rose Bowl season: Hakim Akbar, Jeremiah Pharms, Elliot Silvers, Marques Tuiasosopo and Chad Ward.

Washington's Pro Day will be held Saturday, March 11 at 10 am.
