Huskies get fourth commit for 2018 class

Sources have confirmed that Washington Football picked up their fourth public verbal commitment for the 2018 recruiting class when Trey Lowe, a 5-foot-10, 180-pound athlete from Jesuit High School in Portland, pledged for the Huskies.

Lowe is the third high-profile Oregonian to verbally commit to Washington in the last two years, following Elijah Molden and Marlon Tuipulotu last year, and the fourth prospect to commit to UW's 2018 class, joining Jacob Sirmon, Jack Sirmon, and Austin Osborne.

Lowe picked the Dawgs over offers from Arizona, Boise State, Hawaii, Oregon, and Oregon State.

"(Lowe) is a super-productive back who starred his junior year before injury ended it prematurely," said Scout National Recruiting Analyst Brandon Huffman. "He was putting up video game numbers each week behind the vaunted Jesuit offensive line. He projects to be more of a slot in college and will be used similar to how Washington has used Chico McClatcher.  Very good receiver out of the backfield, can return kicks and punts and is a threat to score every time he touches the ball.  Despite not having optimal size for an every down back, has game breaker ability."

Lowe is rated as a four-star athlete by Scout.com, and is Scout's 259th ranked player in the country.

We'll have more on this breaking news shortly.
