Lowe Says He's "Dreamed" Of Being A Husky

2018 Jesuit (Portland, Or.) ATH Trey Lowe committed to Washington on Wednesday and he caught up with Dawgman.com to give us the word on why he chose the Huskies...

Lowe announced his decision to become a Dawg on his Twitter page earlier today.

"I knew it was the right place with how they use the people they have now and I think I play like some of those guys," Lowe told Dawgman.com.  "I already had a relationship with coach (Matt) Lubick so it was the perfect spot for me.

"I've been dreaming of playing at Washington so really it was no question.

"Being a couple hours away from home is great and with the city of Seattle and the campus, I knew it was the place I should be at."

Lowe said he called the coaches to tell them and they definitely were happy to get his commitment.

"I talked to coach Lubick and coach Pete (Chris Petersen) today and let them know," Lowe noted. "They were excited for me and happy I got it done early."

Lowe chose the Huskies over offers from ArizonaBoise StateHawaiiOregonOregon State and UCLA.

Though he rushed for over 1,800 yards and 34 touchdowns as a tailback in the Crusaders' backfield, the versatile athlete is being recruited by Washington to play slot receiver in their system, much like Chico McClatcher.

Lowe attended Washington's Junior Day back in mid-February and he said he's planning to make the three-hour drive north during April to attend a practice or two, but is unsure of the date at this point in time.
