On the first few practices “I think things have been going pretty good so far. Everyone is just out here trying to get better and compete, trying to improve our spots. We know there are no positions right now, so everyone is just out there trying to get better and help each other out.”

How have the first practices been with coach Lubick? “It’s definitely been a change. I think it’s better for the receivers because now we’re out here even more trying to prove what we can do and trying to get better each day. For the players it makes us want to go even harder and prove ourselves a little bit more.”

What was the hardest thing to learn once you got to UW? “The hardest thing for me to learn was where to line up, the plays. That was pretty difficult when you first get here, a little bit nervous about everything. On top of that you need to worry about all the stuff - where you need to lineup and all that stuff. That was probably the hardest part.”

Have you seen similar difficulty for Ty Jones as an early enrollee? “I think he’s done a really good job of it. Most people don’t know at all where they’re going. He really knows where he’s going. He knows the lineup, he knows the plays. I think he’s doing a really good job of that.”

On competing with the defensive backs at UW “It’s a blessing. It’s a great experience going against these DBs, some of the best in the nation. That’s really good for us, working against some of the best DBs in the nation, so when it comes to game time it’s just like practice. It’s way easier.”
