Washington Huskies Cornerback Kevin King goes in the second round

Washington senior cornerback Kevin King was selected by the Green Bay Packers with the No. 33rd pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

With teammate Sidney Jones suffering an achilles injury during UW's March Pro Day, talk turned to King after he had a great combine workout.  The 6-foot-3, 200-pound King ran a 4.43 at the 2017 NFL Combine, as well as a 3.89 20-yard shuttle and 6.56 L-Cone shuttle. He jumped 39.5 inches in the vertical jump.

In his four years in the purple and gold, King played in 48 games, starting 34 of them. He finished with 165 total tackles, 107 of those solo stops. He also had 8.5 tackles for loss, 28 passes defensed, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and six interceptions.

King finished his career on a high note, earning Honorable Mention All-Pac-12 and Honorable Mention Academic All-Pac-12 honors.
