"I was on the phone with the new offensive line coach, coach (Scott) Huff, and he said they were offering me," Ramos said less than 24 hours after getting the good news. "He said he loved my nastiness and how my technique is just super-sound. He also likes how my feet stay moving and how fast I am off the ball."
The Huskies 11th school to offer Ramos, joining Arizona, Arizona State,California, Iowa State, Kansas State, Nebraska, Oregon, UCLA, Utah and Washington State. in extending a full ride to the 6'5", 290-pounder.
So with all of those options, where does the offer put the Huskies?
"I am very excited I received the offer," Ramos noted. "This definitely puts them in the mix. I have only recently started to talk to (Huff), so I am looking forward to building a great relationship with him in the future.
"He wants to get me up there for camp, but if not for camp, then he just wants to get me up so I can see the campus and meet with him in person.
"Until just recently, I didn't know much about (Washington's) program, but I'm definitely going to do my research on them."
Ramos took visits this spring to see Arizona State, UCLA and Oregon and while he doesn't have any other visits set in stone, he's definitely looking at taking some more.
"I honestly don't know what schools I will visit this summer, but I definitely want to take some," Ramos said. "I've got to talk it over with my parents because they want to come with me on my visits to have their own experiences as well."
We'll have more on Ramos in the coming weeks and he starts to figure out a travel and camp itinerary.
