Nahziah Carter commits to Washington

Nahziah Carter, a one-time verbal commit to Dayton, verbally committed to Washington Friday night after reopening the recruiting process. Former Dayton Head Coach Archie Miller left for Indiana, and Carter was released from his letter of intent.

The 6-foot-4 shooting guard from Bishop Kearney in Rochester, New York, took an official visit to Washington this past weekend before deciding on the Hoop Dawgs. He also happens to be the nephew of Jay-Z.

We'll have more on this breaking news soon, as we attempt to reach Carter Saturday for his thoughts on why he picked the Huskies. Carter is expected to enroll in time for the 2017 season, but has intimated in recent interviews that he could reclassify to 2018.

Washington has room right now to take him for 2017. Top Stories
