Top three are the 'Wright' ones so far

When it comes to big talkers, Manual Wright would rather let his game do the talking for him. At 6'7" and 315-pounds, the Jackrabbit DT doesn't have to do much to make his presence felt, but he's still going above and beyond the call of duty.

"I had 12 tackles and 2 sacks in our last game," Wright told, describing his play in Poly's 28-6 win over Narbonne. Wright obviously played a big role in shutting down Narbonne's top offensive threat, Marcus O'Keith. O'Keith came up with only 17 yards on 10 carries.

Manual is ready to step up and take on the football juggernaut known as De La Salle. Their winning streak doesn't faze Wright. "We've had some good games so far," he said. "I'm ready to play them."

When asked for a top-5, Manual did us a couple better. "My Top-3 is USC, Florida State and Miami."

His reasons for picking those three? "USC because it's close to home and the two Florida schools because I have family in Florida."

Manual is in no hurry to make an announcement as to where he'll go to school. "I'll make my decision on signing day."

While Washington isn't near the top of Manual's current list, they have made an impression on Wright. "I just talked to Coach Neuheisel," he said. "He said that I could come up right away and play defense. They are the only other west coast team I'm going to set up a trip with." Top Stories
