David Beall update

"Yeah, things are looking pretty good right now for the team. We have Battle Ground this week which is another 2-0 team in our league, so this will start to settle who's going to be league champs this year," said David Beall.

The Mountain View team has designs on that league championship and Beall is not shy about believing that his squad may be the team to beat.

Beall, the 6-6 300 pound lineman that may be the tops in this state this year, has scheduled some official trip visits. He will trip to Washington on the first week of December, UCLA on the second week of December, Oregon State on either the first or second week of January, and then Stanford will get a visit at the end of January.

Not much has changed in the way of new teams calling or writing to Dave. "Nope, there are no new suitors. It seems to mainly be the Pac-10 plus the other schools that have offered," said Beall.

The schools that are recruiting the hardest? "All the ones I'm tripping to. The coaches from each school that are in touch are coaches Neuheisel and Hart from UW, coach MacDonell from Stanford, coach Smith from OSU, and coach Webber from UCLA."

Beall is telling us to watch out for another player in his league. "Ryan Widdle from Skyview, he's a D-tackle for them and is being recruited by OSU," said Dave.

When asked to name the schools in order, his response is, "Stanford, UW, UCLA, and OSU.

Beall will visit all four and look at four things. "Most important to me are academics, the football program, the football coaches, and location."

Beall is expected to be in attendance for the UW vs. USC match up this Saturday in Husky Stadium.
