DB Eric Frampton update

Washington has already picked up a verbal commitment from a Bay-Area cornerback, Bishop O'Dowd's Matthew Fountaine. Is there a chance the Dawgs might pick up another? If it does happen, Oak Grove's Eric Frampton is one of the prime candidates.

The 6-1, 190-pound athlete from San Jose is getting plenty of time out on the gridiron. "I'm playing all the time, except on punts," Eric told Dawgman.com. Eric is also a return specialist on both kickoffs and punts. "I think I'm playing both ways equally well," he said.

Oak Grove is 3-1 so far in their young season and Eric has contributed 4 touchdowns to the cause.

Eric, like another Frampton we all know, is still getting the rock-star treatment from college coaches up and down the West Coast. While he likes the attention, he's not going to worry about recruiting until his season is over.

"Not until December," Eric said when talking about official visits. "Washington, Oregon, Washington State, Fresno State and not sure of the fifth one right now."

And his top-3? "I'd have to say Oregon, Fresno State and Washington State."

Frampton currently has offers from Washington State and San Jose State.
