Dorsey safety will visit UW

Jerome Boyd is a 6-2, 190-pound safety prospect from Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey and while Boyd has three official visits set up with Pac-10 schools he's got something much more important going on right now - playoffs. Dorsey is undefeated and Boyd is going to do his best to make sure things stay that way.

"We're 11-0 and trying to get a championship," Jerome told TheInsiders.com. "We're playing pretty well. I'm really excited" Dorsey plays Granada Hills this coming weekend.

"I'm playing a lot better better than last year, and last year went pretty good," he said when asked about his own play. "I have at least 90 tackles, one interception for a touchdown, 3 fumble recoveries, 2 forced fumbles, 4 sacks and a blocked punt."

Arizona, Washington and Oregon are all getting visits from Boyd when his season is complete. "My first visit is December 5th to Arizona and I go to Washington the next week," Jerome said. "And I'm going to Oregon the first recruiting weekend in January."

All three schools have offered Boyd a scholarship, as well as UCLA.

Bobby Kennedy is the coach recruiting Jerome for the Huskies. "He's telling me some really good things," Boyd said of his conversations with Kennedy. "He's telling me that I could go there and that if I work hard enough I could start there. It's pretty good."

Does he know when he'll pull the plug on the process and choose a school? "When the time is right, I'll make my decision," said Boyd.
