"Washington State started recruiting me as a running back last week, but right now it's mostly between the Dub (Washington) and Oregon," Kirton added.
Johnie will take a visit to Eugene this coming weekend and then has a tentative announce date of Wednesday the 14th. He initally thought he would be visiting Pullman the weekend of the 16th, but that doesn't sound like it will happen now.
The Huskies are recruiting Kirton as a running back, the Ducks as a fullback. Can Johnie see himself as a fullback in Oregon's offensive system? "I believe I could play fullback for them," he said. "But I would prefer not to."
He's picked Washington and Oregon primarily because the Huskies are recruiting him as a running back and Oregon has always been one of his favorite teams to watch.
