Beall's MV team captures league championship

Dawgman.com was in attendance and had the chance to watch Mt. View's 6-6 300-pound David Beall on the field at Kiggins Bowl in Vancouver, Washington. We had the chance to speak with David after his Mighty Thunders' mild upset over previously unbeaten Hudson Bay. The victory gives MV head coach Michael Woodward his second southwest Washington league championship in three years.

Beall was extremely happy after the win that sealed the league crown. "This was as big a win as I have had here at Mountain View. Everybody played hard," said Beall.

Mt. View is guaranteed a place in this year's 4A state playoffs and will represent southwest Washington as that region's top seed.

On the recruiting front Beall seems to be narrowing his choices to four schools, with one clear leader.

"I am leaning heavily toward Stanford, but I have scheduled four trips to see what is out there. I will go to Washington, UCLA, Oregon State and Stanford," said Beall.

David carries an outstanding 3.9 GPA and is interested in studying electrical engineering in college.
