"People expect me to do good just because they're not that many people from Alaska who do good," Chalmers said.
Chalmers is already doing extremely well.
He's already visited Arizona and the Wildcats made a nice impression on him. "[The visit] met my expectations, I really liked the campus. I think I fit in good at Arizona because they like to push the ball and their guards do a lot of their offense."
Rounding out Chalmers list is Wake Forest, Kansas, Marquette, North Carolina, UCLA and Washington. Chalmers has spent his entire life in Alaska, but his parents hail from Sanford, N.C., which can explain some East Coast flavor on his list.
Chalmers indicated that he's thinking about visiting North Carolina this spring, but has not set up an official visit date with the Tar Heels. Lute Olson went to Alaska to see Chalmers during the season and Skip Prosser saw him in an event in Tennessee. Those are the lone head coaches to catch him during the year.
