Lefotui likes Washington

Kili Lefotui plays for Arlington High School in Riverside, California, and the 6-5, 292-pound Lefotui has a special interest in the Washington Huskies. The only question that now remains is, do they have as much interest in him?

"I have a high interest in Washington," Kili told Dawgman.com. "They were the first school to send me a letter. I just started playing near the end of my sophomore year, and right before my junior year I got a letter from them. That's something I won't forget. It was pretty big for me."

Kili plays both Nose Guard and Offensive Tackle for Arlington. "I like both, but prefer offense," he said. "I like to use my technique, but there are some guys I play against that are pretty good, so I'm always practicing my technique. I practice it every day."

His play and leadership has helped Arlington to a current 8-1 record, earning them the Ivy League Championship. "I let my play do the talking, but if my guys are slacking off, I'll let 'em know about it. We all need to be on the same page."

Lefotui has been focusing more on football than recruiting, but that hasn't stopped three schools from offering him a full scholarship. "I have offers from Arizona, UTEP and Idaho.

UTEP, Arizona, Fresno State, San Diego State and Idaho have been showing the most interest to Kili lately. "USC has called too," he said.

And official visits? "UTEP has talked about setting up a trip in January, and the Arizona coaches have talked about setting one up in December, hopefully."

The Husky coaches were calling on Kili earlier in the season, but he hasn't heard from them the last couple of weeks, but that hasn't stopped Lefotui from counting them among his top schools. "My top-5 Arizona, UTEP, Washington, Washington State and Idaho."
