Benn still looking at UW and ND – maybe OSU

Jason Benn is taking things one step at a time, especially after the O'Dea Fighting Irish suffered a surprising 13-10 loss to Centralia last weekend. The 6-4, 235-pound DE/TE is relaxing a bit, getting ready for basketball that starts next week. And he's also getting his official trips in order for next month.

"I thought we had a good season, and I thought we played a pretty good game, but other than that I think we had a pretty successful season," Benn told "I feel like I played good. I think I improved in getting more yards after the catch on offense."

And as far as those trips, not too much has changed on Benn's wish list, including a trip to the school his older brother Kyle plays for. Washington and Notre Dame seem to be the main candidates for visits, with Oregon State also a possibility. "I'm planning them right now, but I'm doing basketball too so I'm trying to figure all of that out," he said.

He currently has offers from Washington and Idaho.

The Washington coaches have been keeping in touch, and have also been out to see Jason play this fall. "They say that I'm always moving," he said with a laugh. "They tell me to keep on working hard."

And just what is Jason looking for in a future college choice? "I just want to make sure that they have a good business program, because that's what I'm most likely going to major in, but that could change," he said. Top Stories
