Henry a High-Major

Seketoure Henry is a 6-4, 178-pound shooting guard from Lynwood, California who is playing for Belmont Shore in the AAU circuit. Belmont Shore is currently at the ABCD camp in New Jersey, but that didn't stop Henry from updating his recruitment for Dawgman.com.

Washington, Arizona State, Connecticut, San Diego State, San Diego, Minnesota, USC, UNLV, Pepperdine, DePaul and Boston College are the main schools Seketoure mentioned as having already offered him a scholarship to play basketball. What has attracted high-major schools from around the country to Henry's door?

"My strength is shooting, and my athletic ability," Seketoure said. "I'm a good passer too. No one really talks about that, but I'm working on my hands so I can be a combo guard. I can shoot and go to the rack, but I need to work on my right hand."

And on the defensive side of the ball? "It's a strength," he said. "Normally I would play defense when I really want to, when it's a really important game, but I've gotten out of that now. Now I'm playing good defense every time."

Once Belmont Shore is done at ABCD, Henry said they would be going to Las Vegas for a couple of tournaments there.

And after that, Seketoure is talking about taking some official visits, with Washington, Arizona State and Connecticut right at the top of the trip list. "I haven't been there," he said when asked about Seattle. "I know it rains a lot."

Both Lorenzo Romar and Cameron Dollar are recruiting Henry for the Huskies. "I like Romar, he's a good coach," Seketoure said. "He's a lefty like me. They run transition basketball, which is what I play."

Is he leaning in any one direction right now? "Not really," said Henry. "I'm looking harder at Washington, ASU, San Diego State, UCONN, USC and UNLV right now."
