Daniels Has Two in Mind

Stanley Daniels plays tight end and on the defensive line for Marian Catholic High School in San Diego, California, and the 6-4, 305-pound Daniels is coming close to a reckoning in two big things in his life; his prep football career and his college choice. Both could happen in grand fashion, much like the man himself.

Marian Catholic plays Brawley Friday night, and then could play the winner of the Valley Center-Mission Bay matchup if they survive. And while Daniels will be doing everything he can to grab that ring and end his prep career with an undefeated season, he'll also be thinking about his upcoming visit to the University of Washington.

"Nebraska is my #1 team, but that's just because I haven't visited anywhere else yet," Daniels said. "I'm really looking forward to my trip to Washington." Stanley is visiting Seattle on December 7th. Husky Offensive Line Coach Brent Myers had an in-home visit with Daniels Wednesday night, and felt like it went really well.

Here are Stanley's thoughts on his two leaders.

Nebraska - "Well, I don't like the cold and snow, but they promised me a conference championship if I went there. They are known for putting out great linemen. The NFL is important to me."

Washington - "Really, it's all of the same things. I love Coach Myers. He just went over all the positives for Washington and the academics."

Washington State and Tennessee are the other schools that Stanley might possibly visit. We'll be in touch with Daniels after his official visit to Washington.
