Slye Set To Visit Washington

Jordan Slye is a 6-5, 200-pound QB/Athlete from Franklin High School in Seattle, Washington. Jordan fractured his left fibula in his third game and missed the rest of the season. Well, his leg is healing nicely and he's ready to tackle the recruiting process, starting with an official visit to Washington.

"It's going good right now," Jordan told when asked about his leg. "I can go 100 percent on it now. I've just been laying low."

Even though Jordan hasn't been as highly recruited as Garfield's Isaiah Stanback, Slye did put together some nice stats as a junior. He was 77-149 for 957 yards passing and in addition ran for 832 yards and scored 5 times.

And recruiting? "Things are pretty much the same," he said. "I'm going to Washington this weekend. And I'm having a couple of talks with Washington State and Nevada." Slye plans on visiting those two schools in January along with Michigan and Nebraska. Jordan said that all of the schools he's interested in have offered scholarships.

He doesn't have specific ideas of when he'll make a verbal commitment. "I just want to go everywhere and see everything, he said. Keith Gilbertson is the Husky coach recruiting Slye and the Huskies like him as a quarterback and as an athlete.

Jordan wants to get into television in the future, so that's one of the things he'll be checking out starting tomorrow. "I think I know more about Washington right now than the average person," he said. "So when I take my visit, I'm going to be more interested in how the teachers interact with the students and what the communications department is like. I want to go into broadcasting eventually." We'll be talking to Jordan after his official visit. Top Stories
